Briar Payment Solutions
Pricing

What it costs. Tailored to your business.

No teaser rates and no rate sheet. Three ways to be priced, real hardware pricing, and your number confirmed in writing before you sign.

Request a review
Processing

The program decides what processing costs.

There isn't one rate to quote, because the program you run determines what processing actually costs. Which one fits depends on your volume, your average ticket, your card mix, and your customers.

One posted price

Flat rate

One rate on every transaction, whatever card comes across the counter.

Right for you if: volume is modest or seasonal, your average ticket is small, or you'd rather have a statement you can read in ten seconds than the last 0.2% of optimization.

The tradeoff: you pay the same on a debit card as on a premium rewards card. That gap widens as you grow.

One posted price

Interchange-plus

The networks' actual cost, passed through, plus a fixed markup you can see.

Right for you if: you're running real volume, your mix leans debit or card-present, or you want to see every cost broken out line by line.

The tradeoff: a longer statement. That's the point — nothing is bundled, which is what makes it the model that can't be quietly repriced.

Two posted prices

Dual pricing

A cash price and a card price, both posted, both disclosed before payment.

Right for you if: you're card-present with a meaningful average ticket and your customers aren't hyper price-sensitive. It keeps the most margin in the business.

The tradeoff: it's a program, not a rate — signage, receipt disclosure, and a configuration that matches your state.

How dual pricing works

The exact number comes from a review of a recent statement, not a rate sheet. Your advisor reads what you process today, confirms which model fits, and shows you the cost in writing before you sign.

What we won't do

The lines we don't cross

  • 01

No teaser rates that reprice at month four.

  • 02

No long-term hardware purchase to get a better processing rate.

  • 03

No surprise line items on the statement — every fee is disclosed before you sign.

And no surcharging

Debit can't be surcharged at all, the card brands cap it, several states restrict or prohibit it, and it's a registered program requiring 30 days' written notice to your acquirer. We run dual pricing instead. See why →
